I am only accepting submissions pitched at writers conferences, during Twitter query contests and pitch parties (#adpit, #kidpit, #pitmad, #sffpit, #writepit) and when I have an “open call” (see below). If you are on Twitter, I encourage you to pitch your book project at these pitch contests. If you’ve tried but still have not gotten a “fave” or “like” from me, take a look at an old post of mine on Twitter pitch parties for a good idea of what I look for in a tweeted pitch.
While I am closed for unsolicited submissions, other agents at Kimberley Cameron & Associates are open. Please keep in mind that you can only query one of our agents at a time. You can find my colleagues’ submission guidelines, the genres they represent and what they are looking for on the KC&A website.
Please check back or follow me on Twitter for news on which online contests and writers conferences I’m participating in, and when I’m having an open submission call (see below). I recommend reading my agent bio on KC&A’s website, or reviewing my Manuscript Wish List (#MSWL) to see if your project is a good fit for what I am looking for.*
If you are here, because I requested your submission during a Twitter pitch party or query contest, please submit by completing my KC&A submission form.
Occasionally, I will have an open call for a specific genre or type of project I’m looking for. I will post it below with the dates I’ll be open to unsolicited queries for those kinds of book projects.
- I am accepting unsolicited submissions for: fiction with diverse characters, PoC, LGBTQ+, special needs, etc., and/or themes of diversity, multiculturalism, identity, and the immigrant experience, tolerance, social activism, and justice; stories that empower and give voice to the voiceless and the marginalized. I am especially seeking #ownvoices authors and writers from marginalized backgrounds.
- This open submission period is from: November 9, 2016 to: TBD
If there is information listed above, you may submit by completing this form.**
I look forward to reading your work.
*I do not represent nonfiction (this includes memoir), short story or poetry collections, picture books, early readers, chapter books, screenplays or other works of drama, nor do I represent self-published books.
**There will be a link available when there is an open call.
